The new facility, which will be located about 20 km from the existing centers in Isando, is a consolidation of two parts distribution centres and will enable the company to work more efficiently, while increasing its capability to provide unmatched part availability to customers in Africa, said Barloworld Equipment.
“As the world’s leading Caterpillar dealer this new facility will certainly improve service to customers throughout the region and reduce transport collection points,” says Leeka.
Over the years, the 90-year partnership between Barloworld Equiment and Caterpillar has grown from strength to strength. Barloworld Equipment is the official dealer for CAT earthmoving machines and CAT power systems in all its southern African territories – South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Botswana, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Katanga Province (in joint venture with Tractafric Equipment).
Additionally, Barloworld Equipment is the CAT dealer for Spain, Portugal, and Siberia and the Russian Far East and also operates in the United Kingdom and China.
